Okay, 2012 and I am just now posting on my blog. I can’t believe it has been so long. I have been trying to get my new website up and running, but I am so far from educated on the subject that this has been an ordeal. I am still not up and running, so I thought I should blog a bit rather than waiting.
I have also been on a bit of a creative journey. I was inspired to decorate these canisters after returning from Creative University in Washington. The last day of the retreat, Teresa Black, CU founder, gave away large bell jars decorated in similar fashion. I thought these canisters have sat around empty long enough!
Lately, birds have been sort of a symbol of not only pride and patriotism, but freedom and peace. If I had to be any animal, I would definitely be a bird. First of all, you get to make a cozy comfortable home that is relatively safe from the environment and predators. You can chose to walk to work, or to fly. You know you are getting a yearly vacation and the sky is the limit as to where you want to go, plus you don’t have to go alone!
I have many more fabulous artwork to post, so I will keep this post short and sweet. Happy Scrappin’!
