Banners seem to be to HOTTEST trend in scrapbooking right now. I love to make cute little banners for my pages, because they are just so stinkin’ cute! Banners also remind me of parties. Who doesn’t love to go to a fun party with their friends and family?
Of course there are also some other hot trends right now. Another one is vintage, anything vintage. I’ve been seeing old dress forms, fabric, embroidery from napkins, ribbon, and thread spools on many projects. Oh and don’t forget old buttons!! Recently, I went to one of the local “junk” stores and scored to blue glass Bell jars filled with wooden thread spools for only five bucks! Ha!
Now some scrappers in the “know” think that navy is going to be the new neutral. Of course I do not agree with this. I don’t consider Navy a neutral color, but I do like to pair a nice deep blue with Hollyhock, the darker of the two pinks in this layout. I need to jump in the shower and head off to my “JOB”. Look forward to more of this project soon. Until then, Happy Scrappin’.
