Passion for Pink!

At my March into Spring Crop held at the College Avenue United Methodist Fellowship Hall in Manhattan, KS, two of my favorite scrap lovin’ friends made a comment that they wished when they came to these 12 hour scrapbook parties, they could finish an entire album. I asked them, “Why not?”. They looked at me puzzled by the comment as if I had said the silliest sentance ever. “Let’s do it right now! We still have six hours,” I told them.

Well, out of this conversation came my latest Workshop! Yes, you can complete an entire scrapbook in one day! You just have to do some planning before hand. If someone did that planning for you, then you could certainly finish your scrapbook in one day. For many people, it is the plan itself and staring at blank pages that is intimidating! Then finding or making the perfect embellishments to go with your product. Then lastly is time to do the project. This Workshop addresses ALL of those issues. All you have to do is make the committment to schedule the Workshop and purchase the kit. That is all!

My next ten or so posts will show you the pages we will create in this Workshop. The kit uses the Sophia line of Close To My Heart products, but really any coordinating kit would work. I am going to show you how to make a WHOLE SCRAPBOOK faster, simpler, and easier than you ever thought. I will be displaying the kit and scrapbook at my upcoming events, so you can sign up and pay for your kit.

Now, I am making a lot of embellishments for you, like these cute tissue paper flowers! My plan is to walk you through each layout by cutting the papers with you for all ten layouts. After that page is cut, we will set it aside untill all ten pages are cut. Then we will go back and assemble every layout with your favorite adhesive. Make sure to bring plenty!!
Next, we will go back through and embellish our pages, add any pictures you brought, do some journaling using the journaling prompts handout I give you and place the pages in an album. I am also going to show you a uber fast way of adding pictures to your book without creating anymore lavish layouts!

The first event I will be displaying my album is the FREE crop in Ogden Community Center, Saturday, April 9th from 10am to 10pm. The public is invited, but if you would like to crop, please let me know so I can get with the organizer to let her know you’d like to attend.

The second event I will be displaying my album is the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Business Fair at the Clarion Convention Center on Wednesday, April 13th from 5pm to 8pm. The scrapbook will display again at the Quarter Social being held Saturday, April 23rd from noon to 2pm at the American Legion near Walmart. Those are my events locally, but I will also be in Topeka this month.

I will open my little shop at the Diva Crop at the Holidome in Topeka, KS on Saturday, April 16th from 8am to 10pm. So come see the Workshop display there while you shop and crop the day away! As always, call me for additional information. I do not have the kit priced yet, but that should be available very soon. Until then, just enjoy the art! As it could be yours!! Happy Scrappin’!

  1. Wonderful layouts! I do understand your passions when all you get is drab Army green. My girls spend their lives in Army green too, so I get their over the top bright color choices! Thanks for making my day. :^)
