Makeover Tips for Filigree Charms Technique #1

Have you been wondering what to do with your Filigree Charms? If not, you absolutely must give the Veranda Workshop on the Go a try! Veranda has to be my favorite paper pack from Close To My Heart this catalogue, (though it is hard for me to choose!). The picture above has only five inexpensive products I used to get three totally different looks with my Filigree Charms.

The first look is using them straight out of the package! They are pewter, so they coordinate perfectly with all the other pewter embellies you may have. I love using them with hinges and photo clips best.

The second look is giving them a warm, coppery-brown hue by dying them with the Timber Brown StazOn ink and the finger sponge you see pictured above. I love the warm look achieved by just daubing the pewter Filigree Charms with this handy and inexpensive tool!

Below is the Veranda Workshop on the Go scrapbook project using the altered Filigree Charms. I used them straight out of the picture at first, but I really wanted a warmer color on my layout. So I decided to try this technique and I love the finished product.
