Today

Most people refer to me as Amy Muse, but some others may refer to me as Sergeant Muse, or even Miss Scrappy Britches! I was a medic in the Army, before I retired after 20 years of faithful service.  Now I find myself a full-time Psychology/Social Work student at Upper Iowa University with aspirations in earning my graduate degree in industrial and organizational psychology. My testimony is powerful and a true testament in courage and faith.

Military Life

Some years back, my military career began in the Marine Corps, but I quickly realized the Army had more opportunities for women and a proud Medical Corps tradition that fascinated and inspired me. I found myself stationed in many countries and conflicts around the World, the last being an engineer unit supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) in Iraq near the Syrian border.

Long story short, I realized one day, I had very few girlfriends, because I was in an occupation that was so male dominated. I felt like my own private island. Knowing that life had more to offer, I joined Close To My Heart as an Independent Consultant after my first tour in Iraq to meet like-minded women and earn a discount on crafting products. I quickly realized THIS is what I was looking for and so desperately needed in my life.

I have always had a secret passion for crafting, since I was a very little girl living in rural Iowa. I have had the esteemed privilege of presenting and teaching at several National and Regional Close To My Heart events and have won several awards including 2010 Rising Star.

I strive to provide friendship, inspiration and training designed to enhance personal growth and realize financial goals using innovative Close To My Heart products and the latest tools and techniques available in the Direct Selling Industry.
