Scrapping with Online Supplies

I have a secret confession.

I love anything Maggie Holmes from Crate Paper.

I wanted to share some of my personal pages using supplies I bought online at Scrapbook.com. Scrapbook.com is by far, the best online paper crafting store I have been able to find the secret products I love. Too often online stores sell out of inventory, or run out of one thing in a collection, and I find Scrapbook.com works really hard to keep their customers happy! So, help me support my community events by shopping at Scrapbook.com using my affiliate link.

This scrapbook page uses the Crate Paper “Styleboard” collection by Maggie Holmes. My niece used to compete in Pennsylvania when she was in high school. When I saw the “Styleboard” collection, I knew I had found the perfect products to truly capture the spirit of these photos.

Winner Scrapbook LayoutThis page reminds me of the hard work and dedication Chelsie has shown. The products highlight the pride and comrade horse riders demonstrate and the relationship between the riders and their horses. I used my Cricut and Close To My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge to cut and assemble the rosettes and then layered them with adhesive layered embellishments.

I find there are so many colors that perfectly match these “Styleboard” supplies and CTMH cardstock cuts beautifully with the Cricut. The cool thing about Maggie Holmes’ Crate Paper products is that they are so vintage inspired and colorful! I decided to share some more creations I created today.

I also used some Crate Paper “Flea Market” by Maggie Holmes products on the next two layouts and Mother’s Day card. I find that I normally organize my products by brand and collection. I also find that I normally create within the same brand and collection. It is so refreshing that all the Maggie Holmes designed collections from Cate Paper coordinate so seamlessly and perfectly. I can easily take my favorite products from both collections and marry them into fabulous creations.

Happy Dog

This was such a fun page to create! I did drag out an old typewriter, but quickly realized using it was Worlds away from using my Mac! There are so many mistakes, but I decided those mistakes were a fun and quirky part of this project, so I didn’t stress the mistakes. I made my own tassel using some gold twine and pink and white baker’s twine. These tassels are very trendy right now, but super easy to make yourself!

It is also very fun to take little bits and pieces from different collections and layer them to make custom embellishments. I hand stitched three different sized butterflies to make one butterfly. I also love to use sequins and enamel dots to add “embellishment sneeze” to my pages to control where the eye of the viewer is led.

Fun Layered Embellishments

When you have more pictures, but they really aren’t photos you want to take the time to scrap on a layout, I like to use pocket pages. I usually use Close To My Heart’s Picture My Life pocket pages, because they are thicker quality and include an extra sewn piece that enables my albums to lay flat. Then I just had fun using Maggie Holmes Project Life cards and embellishments to finish the pocket page.

Above is a fun Happy Mother’s Day card created using “Flea Market” and “Styleboard” products. Below, is a scrapbook page of my hubby, Jared, sleeping.

Are you a Close To My Heart fan who also loves other brand names? It can be fun to get some of my closet scrapbooking on my blog. There are just so many fabulous paper crafting products out there! What are some of your favorites? I’d love to hear! Until then, Happy Scrappin’.
