Here is my ultra secret cool technique for altering Filigree Charms. I don’t really have a name for it, but I guess I could call it “statue-ing”! I have a lot of European Vacay pictures that I adore, but haven’t brought myself to start scrapping…until I found the perfect paper pack, Veranda!
So I wanted to come up with a new technique. A technique that I could call my very own for this contest Close To My Heart is offering consultants to “try out” for a spot teaching at Extravaganza in July! I also wanted this technique to compliment my pictures rather than be the focus entirely.
So, the picture above is what I came up with. By using Juniper re-inker, a Vanilla Cream Exclusive ink pad, and a sponge I created this European, Old World statue look alike finish. There are so many old, copper statues that seemed to turn this greenish-white color over time, so I tried to capture that look using Close To My Heart products.
Here is the same technique used on the Mini-Medley Antiqued Copper photo corners. This project isn’t finished, so this is a sneeky peeky of what I am working on to submit. I just LOVE how this technique is looking. What do you think? Fabulous or freaky?
